With Chris Long and Kyle Knepp being erased from the league due to
qualification discrepancies, the league championship is literally open
to anybody. Their teams were at the time first and second
respectively, the Vexillologists a distant third. But with both
teams lacking anchors, the time is now for the Vexillologists to mount
the comeback horse and storm in. This week the saddled up and took
off against the Strikers. GAME : 1
Mike Runkel kept his hot streak going with another outstanding game,
defeating his sister who's scores were represented by her average minus
ten pins. Fegley actually managed to break his average, something
that he failed to do all of last week. Brett Bieber had a poor
start and just lost out to Mike by two pins as the Vexillologists won
game one.

John Fegley- 180
GAME : 2
Everybody seemed to falter in the second game, Fegley dropping by two
pins but still over his average as he lead the team. Mike fell
thirty-eight pins from his highest game of the week, but still managed
to cap his sisters blind. Brett had a horrid game, his lowest of
the week and forty-seven pins below his average. No surprise the
Vexillologists lost game two.
Brett Bieber- 115
Lindsay Runkel- 99 Mike Runkel- 152
John Fegley- 142
GAME : 3
Just as everybody fell in game two, they also all made a mad dash in
the final leg of the series. Mike Runkel, back in the driver's
seat as he again well surpassed his average and also beating his sister
completing the sweep. Fegley just missed out on a 200 game that
would have broken his streak of eleven straight games with out one.
Despite the great scoring, the Vexillologists were outdone by eight pins
and lost game three.

RECAP
With game one's decisive victory, the Vexillologists managed to
salvage the series split by taking total pinfall. Mike rode his
hot streak into week nine and completed his second straight series sweep
over his sister giving him a dominating lead over Lindsay (22-14).
After splitting the series with the first place team, they remain seven
games out of first. But Strike Force, taking three out of four,
moved into a tie for first place.
