The Vexillologists team has found themselves between a rock and a hard place.  With the rock about to crash down upon their skulls they need to continue their fight to get back on top of this depleted league.  Again the team faced off against the last place team, Rachel & Us, as they hope to sweep a series and get above 500 for the first time in quite a while.

GAME : 1

Fegley started game one with a six bagger and finished up with the league high scratch game.  Lindsay and Mike were both under the century mark with Lindsay prevailing.  The Vexillologists took game one by 53 pins despite Brett shooting his lowest game of the week.

GAME : 2

Brett bounced back to break his average.  Lindsay followed in suit with her highest game of the week capping her brother, who shot his lowest game of the week, for a second time.  Fegley fed off his first game and shot a second game over 200 as the team won game two by 49 pins.

GAME : 3

Mike Runkel and Brett Bieber shot their highest games of the week, with Brett just missing a 200 game due to a sudden thumb injury and an open in the ninth.  Lindsay was still able to beat out her brother and completed the sweep.  Fegley shot his low game of the week, but for the first time he compiled three 200's in the same week as the Vexillologists won game three and finished off the sweep.

RECAP

The sweep of the league's bottom feeders puts the Vexillologists two games over 500 and just four games out of first.  The second place team swept the first place team moving themselves into a tie for first place.  Lindsay continued her comeback in Runkel Wars  (31-24-1) with her sweep and moved ahead of her brother in average by 0.19 pins.  Fegley's 678 sets a new league high for scratch series and obviously sets his personal high for this season.  The team also set their new high scratch series with a 1731.

Vexillologists v. Rachel & Us
