After the Vexillologists fell even further from first place, the first half title is looking to be a lost cause.  On the bright side there is always that second half to chase after.  This week in the last desperate hopes to gain some ground on the elusive first place, let alone a winning record.  The only trouble is that they would have to beat the first place team once again.  A sweep would be too much to ask now would it?

GAME : 1

Lindsay and Mike were the only two to break average, although they combined to be a total of three pins over.  They finished in a tie, not giving anyone an advantage in Runkel Wars.  Brett struggled through the first game with his lowest game of the week as Fegley shot his high of the week and was a few pins under average.

GAME : 2

Lindsay did manage to dominate her brother in game two with her high game of the season.  Mike shot his only game under average of the week.  Brett picked it up in his second game and managed to make his average.  Fegley on the other hand started a downward turn that seems to follow any decent game he has.  However, the team did manage to even the series with their game two victory.

GAME : 3

Brett made a drastic improvement in the third game and shot his highest game of the season, leading to his highest series of the season.  Lindsay didn't beat her second game but did beat her brother who re-shot his first game.  Fegley fell off to his worst game of the week and failed to make break 500 as the team lost game three despite shooting their combined high game.

RECAP

By only winning the one game, the team fell back below .500% and eight games out of first.  Lindsay, mounting a drastic comeback, has crawled to within two games for the first half's Runkel Wars (32-30-2).  The Vexillologists will take the next two weeks off for Christmas and New Years, they will come back on January 8th 2005 hopefully ready to start competing.
