Vexillologists

     Weekly Review: February 26th 2005

      MCELC

The review for the week of February 26, 2005 is finally available.  Now that the scores were finally delivered ( I have been in Florida for two weeks ) we have the scores and standings for week 24.  F.Y.I. there is a new team in the league that will not be a factor in the championship race.

GAME : 1

Game one was a solid team victory.  Every member of the team was over average, with the exception of Brett who was not present and did not prebowl.  Therefore his scores will be reflected by his average less ten pins.  Fegley was high with his high game of the week.  Mike dominated his sister for a first game win as he shot his high game of the week as well.

    SCORES:
  • Brett Bieber-       144
  • Lindsay Runkel-  119
  • Mike Runkel-      138
  • John Fegley-        212

GAME : 2

While game two was not a major drop-off from game one's score, the difference was enough to allow Rachel & Us to take the second game.  Lindsay came back from the first game loss and capitalize on her brother's low game of the week.  Fegley again was high, just missing a second 200 game.

    SCORES:

  • Brett Bieber-       144
  • Lindsay Runkel-  119
  • Mike Runkel-      108
  • John Fegley-        196

GAME : 3

The Vexillologists shot their lowest team game of the week in game three, but Rachel & Us followed suit and still managed to lose game three.  Lindsay helped the cause as she shot her high game of the week.  Mike picked it up a little to beat his second game, but not enough to defeat his sister.  Fegley was again high, despite shooting his worst game of the week and only game below his average.

    SCORES:

  • Brett Bieber-        144
  • Lindsay Runkel-   127
  • Mike Runkel-       112
  • John Fegley-       169

RECAP

Lindsay again picked up her lead as she has finished off her comeback and is now looking to defend her lead that has been growing faster than mold (52-41-3).  After taking three of four the Vexillologists did not gain any ground that they had lost in the previous week.  Strike Force also won three of four from the new team in the league, Rolling Diamonds, this addition created a bye in the league which the Strikers received this week giving them four easy wins.

Vexillologists v. Rachel & Us
